Register Your InterestLearn to Become a Lived Experience Consultant
Many businesses need expert guidance to improve accessibility, and you can be the one to provide it. As a Lived Experience Consultant, you will educate organisations, deliver assessments, and identify necessary changes to enhance inclusion. This role is especially crucial in temporary environments, such as construction and roadworks, where accessibility barriers are often unintentionally designed in.
Why This Matters
The UK is making strides in improving Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Businesses are beginning to recognise the immense value of a diverse talent pool and the necessary adjustments required to support individuals in excelling at their roles. Additionally, the economic power of the Purple Pound—worth an estimated £278 billion in disability spending power—highlights the importance of inclusivity.
However, barriers still exist. When disabled individuals face inaccessible websites, shops, buildings, and transport networks due to poor design, the impact is far-reaching. Not only does it affect their mental and physical well-being, but it also has economic consequences.
What Will You Learn?
Our programme is primarily designed for people with tetraplegia, based in the UK. It equips you with the skills and knowledge to start building your qualifications and knowledge to become a competent Lived Experience Consultant and help towards becoming a professional Accessibility Consultant.
