Active Hands

Regain are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with Active Hands.

Who are Active Hands?

Following a spinal cord injury in 1996, Rob Smith MBE was keen to return to exercise and strengthen his upper body. His ability to do this was severely restricted by his reduced hand function. He developed a gripping aid to overcome this, working with his mum on her sewing machine… and so The Active Hands Company was born.

Active Hands mission is to help people achieve more active and inclusive lives – giving them independent access to a variety of activities that would be impossible without Active Hands gripping aids.

They have now been designing, manufacturing and selling gripping aids for two decades. They provide solutions to all areas of daily life and support people across a wide range of abilities, ages and activities. From those who are newly injured and beginning to rehabilitate, to professional paralympic athletes – and everyone in between! They sell direct to end-users all over the world via their website and through resellers in other countries. Active Hands are now the go-to place for hand-related products.
They are still a family owned and run business and pride themselves on the quality of their products, their knowledge of the issues faced by those with grip problems and their customer service.

Active Hands are pleased to support the excellent work of Regain. Rob and his wife Jo have taken part in several of Regain’s overseas cycling fundraisers and Active Hands have ejoyed sponsoring Regain’s cycling challenge in Thruxton. They look forward to continuing to partner with Regain in the future.
